It took a lot of work, but I believe I managed to make an actually good transmog out of the butchered abomination that is the Kul'Tiran Longcoat

Used an Embroidered shirt to add a collar to the chest, threw out the godawful legs, gloves, and shoulders, used the vendor gloves to give a sleeker wooden look, and used a pair of plain blue pants to not overcrowd the look of the legs and coat

For the one you're talking about you should really focus on matching the colors from your Legs/Boots with your Chest/Shoulders/Gloves/Waist imo. Your Shoulders/Waist stand out the most, Shoulders due to shade of Brown and Waist due to the plating on the Waist not matching with the Legs/Boots and the leather is more brown than the Grey on your Legs/Boots. Weapons are too light of a Brown as well.

You just kinda started and gave up and mashed together other pieces with one another.
