The hole is the argument about High Elfs is that Highmountain Tauren and Mag'har Orcs exist

the ML change, well, thing is, ML is used by actual cutting edge 'world first' guilds. and since people want to seem 'pro', they imitate every damn thing from 'world first' people. and unless you are highly scrutinized at everything you do, like world class raiders, 'leaders' and 'officers' will try everything they can to get away with bullshit. and i am blunt here, if the usual 'omg a trial shouldnt get loot because they could leave' is used - better have that item go to a trial than to someone who would only use it as potential fuel for some experimental spec, who already is decked out.
if someone was honest in their intentions, they would not ask for ML to remain, they would ask for a system where ALL items are ALSO at an npc, to which you can give tokens that you accumulate as participant.
ie, both full items dropping, which can WF/TF, or the 'basic' versions for tokens at a vendor, so that, even if you aren't getting shit all, you could still save up for SOME upgrade.

I've never had a problem with getting an item straight away, through reruns and such i'll eventually get it, like i only got my Gul'dan mount 2 weeks ago.
ML with a loot council is still 10000x better than DKP, let's hope that never shows it's ugly face again

But ML has been a system that many people are okay with for years.
If you're applying for a Mythic level guild and you're a trial, you should know that you're there to see how your ability applys in a Mythic raid setting, and if you make it onto the Main raid team you will get loot.
what i'm trying to say is that most people who are applying to play at that end of the game already know they're a trial, and should not be complaining about getting loot when you're technically not even part of the Guild yet

So because blood elves are part of the horde I don't think it would make canonic sense for a lot of high elves to go against silvermoon. I played through warcraft and wow, and the alliance has always treated the elves like garbage.
However, if they decided to create a zone/campaign explaining why and how they end up on the alliance that makes sense go ahead.
I'm fine with night elves and blood elves and calling it a day.
nightborne were set up and executed well, they make sense. Should they ahve their own models and rigging? Yes, but that's just blizzard being lazy.

First off: Biggest reason high elves would join is because two of the three Windrunner sisters are alliance. Additionally, high elves are STILL IN THE ALLIANCE as we see with the Silver Covenant in dalaran. Go take a peek and you’ll see alliance high elves all over the place.
