I also think it’s hard to compare pvp and m+ in that way, because m+ seasons always start with a raid tier. As the tier progresses ppl get more and more crazy gear and tf’s that allow them to do things in m+ that were simply not possible at the start of the season. In pvp, even in past expansions where there was no template everybody was still competing with the exact same gear
So while a 17 is easy now, it’ll be that much easier as the tier progresses. So in that sense I could see 20s being reasonable

they didn't make an elite pve mythic+ set cause they weren't sure at first how the mythic+ system would go down and if you remember they've retuned it a number of times. Also with how the affixes work some weeks would be easier than others and some dungeons are/ were easier ( old Maw ) Maybe for BfA they'd implement a new set for Mythic+ but the main barrier for entry is the puggability
main player base is prob heroic level raiding, and i'd say anywhere near 70% have no interest in doing keystones for alternative gear/ progression.
Even with the added incentive of transmog most people won't care, i can't even convince my guild to do rbg's for my fucking artifact mog
so i'd imagine i'd be equally difficult to convince the same bracket of players to do alternative pvp that requires a different style to what they are use to
also the mythic+ is a new demographic and it's sorta hard to pin down with the differences from group - group, week - week and dungeon - dungeon.

I know what you mean about the boots, but the only other ones that are close are the ones that are the same set as the gloves/shoulders

There is a difference between contrast and mismatching. Orange and blue work great together but you got different blues and even greens in your mix, the orange/bronze of the chest is standing quite out and the gold of the bracers as well, doesnt fit the light blue/silver details of head and shoulders. It is just overwhelming and non-harmonic. If you want to create contrast you need some order first upon which to build said contrast.

That would work if there were enough pieces to actually match colors with but at some point if you want to make a mog that's not a full set, the colors are going to be slightly off. That being said, I argue that the bracers are close enough to the beige on the two chests. I'm not a huge fan of the orange vials on the poisoner set, however there's not much choice

I like the combo of the helm /shoulders/feet - the chest fits in decent with it. Don't really like the belt, legs, daggers, hands in that order from belt being least relevant to hands being okay but not great.
I give it a 6/10 bonus points for not being something commonly seen and making an overall nice looking set with the shoulders (i really like the current DH tier)
