I'm only guessing this is a bug.
The price I'd get for selling the Essence of Direness didn't change after upgrading it, yet the price on the Essence of Flow is different based on quality here.

In general when you upgrade your spells or memories it seems. I bought the 234 gold one as +7, whilst the other one was bought around +4 or something. Maybe even earlier.

So we have a system that prevents you from selling the items with higher price than the price you bought, but it turns out that limitation is never removed from an item even after you upgrade them 😅
