Basic Mechanics
Hello! For this idea, I think a *weekly challenges* area would be a great addition to the game! How this would work, is there would be a large pool of *challenges* for the month, (so around 30), and these would be added around the *beginning of the month*. A challenge would be selected randomly each day from the pool, and would be added to a different *type* of VR headset (similar to the ones used to enter **Tech Tree** to enter the *daily challenge*.
How a Specific Challenge Would Work
Overview
Each individual *challenge* would have a *start room*, a *challenge "room"* or open space that would contain that day's challenge, and an *end room*.
Start Room
The *start room* would contain the challenge's instruction, what the ***reward*** is (explained later), an exit, and the *entrance*.
The challenge's instructions would be on a *info board* in the room which explain the *daily challenge* for that day.
The exit would be some sort of simple button (as an example, there could be a **rift** similar to the one in **Tech Tree**). This would eject you from the *challenge* and bring you back to where you entered.
The *entrance* would be some sort of doorway to begin the *challenge*, maybe like the ones in **Haunted Mansion**.
The Challenge Room
The *challenge* room would simply contain the *challenge*. You would play, then win or lose, and get your *reward* (if you win).
End Room
The *end room* would be different depending on if you win or lose the *daily challenge*.
If you win, you would have a button to claim the *reward*, and then *leave*. The *reward* could be a **Research Point** or two, **Company Coins**, **Items**, or **Nuts**. If you lose, you would have an option to either leave, or replay the *challenge*.
