FLOORS
Basics of how floors work
Floors contain the main gameplay of the NnB. They are basically randomly generated versions of the main maps, the Caves and the Sewers. Each room will fill up a spot on a grid that can be used to help the random generation work. Some rooms will fill up more than 1 grid square, making the map diverse. Each room type will have specific scrap spawn locations. The type of scrap scales with Floor progression, earlier floors contain very little and cheap scrap, while later floors will contain more and more expensive scrap. Monsters will also be placed on the map at random locations, but in places where they will be a threat. Each monster will fill up a number of "slots" that decide how many monsters can spawn. The type of monsters that spawn are random depending on the map type, harder monsters take up more slots and can only arrive on later floors. Somewhere on each floor will be a teleporter that on use, saves your scrap and turns you into a spectator. The scrap collected is automatically turned into scrap currency.
CAVES
1st floor type
The Caves make up the first 5 floors of the mode. They are almost identical to the caves from the base game. The map is split into 2 sections, the hallways and the lava parkour, similar to the main game. Here, basic enemies will spawn that are usually seen in the caves, Armstrong, The Bombs, Watchers, and The Angler. The loot here isn't special, but it does include more crates than the Sewers, giving a boost to the start of the run. Floor 1 will be special as it will be small and contain few monsters, giving people a chance to get a bit of scrap to start off their run.
SEWERS
2nd floor type
The Sewers make up the last 5 floors of the mode. They take place mainly in the pipes, but have a few parkour parts in-between. The monster spawns here are also similar to the main game. The Bombs, Watchers, Mimics, The Eyeballs, and The Angler. The scrap here is worth more, but there are barely any crates to give you a boost. The Sewers are meant to be a difficulty spike from the Caves, having a higher chance of ending runs. Floor 10 will represent the Final Section of the Sewers with low gravity from the main game, but much, much bigger.
I could write more but I don't want to write anymore today, I'll write the next part probably tomorrow.
