Hey, recently I've been developing my 2d platformer game when I stumbled across one with actually good lighting, and was wondering: how does this guy do that? I'm a beginner to Godot but I felt like it was a bad idea to post in the beginner help channel because this looks quite complicated to actually get it right so yeah.

Oh, if you're talking about the god rays then that's probably just texture overlay with some transparency, that's the art direction part

Lots of cool things and graphics you see in games are smoke and mirrors, think of the big sprawling city you see on the horizon in a game, it's not really there, it's just a billboard texture
