I asked before if there was a way to make GPUParticle2D collision layers but i actually found out that isn't really the issue i think? I don't know what is happening with it

wait i might not need to do this actually

in the video you see the particles going into a random direction and not all around

them i turn off the collisions and it works again

then i turn back on the collision and it works

but the second time it just goes back to only going in a line
