i get that i could have the camera be a parent object, and have the camera have the code that is going to be applied to the character, but this seems wrong in some way

i have a feeling this would make the thing have many potential problems

like, if i have the code that makes the camera face the body, and the body is an attached child node, then the body will rotate accoring to the camera, and that will cause the camera to spin uncontrolibly, cause tis trying to rotate towards practicaly itself
