@Tyler Arena is one that might be going away; we've never been able to get a building design I was happy with and that was obvious as to exactly what happened in it. Also we're out of tool slots on the 'Build' tab of the action bar so I'm not even sure where it'd put its models.
Hey so I saw this comment in the Test Build Chat and I think getting rid of arenas altogether would be a mistake. Here is my suggestion on how they should be implemented(maybe save it for Factions or other update?).
Arenas - Arenas could be like dungeons where they take place in a separate world instance, though have much smaller maps. You can design these maps like dungeons, though instead of doors, loot and keys, you instead place spawn points.
Types of Arena Battles - There are two types of Arena Battles: Solo PvP and Team PvP. Solo PvP places two players at opposite spawn points and they make their way as quickly as possible to the other player. Team PvP places players at each spawn point and their first priority is grouping up with their team, though they may run into enemy players while doing so and get into solo fights.
Entering Arenas - If a player wants to engage in PvP but there is no one nearby to engage in a duel with, they will opt to join an Arena instance. They will then be put in que and will be teleported to a PvP instance when one is available. Upon leaving, they will reappear back where they were... or to save on performance, they could be brought back to their current Inn.
Limiting Levels - While players will be able to use every ability they have unlocked, upon entering a PvP session their stats(health, damage, mana, etc) will be set to the same level as all other players. We can decide what level stats an arena sets players to. This way, all players can opt-in to arena fights, regardless of how low populated their high level is.
