Right now if players have close range skill they will always try going into melee so if we could have attack range setting for classes/monsters it would be nice.
Close – character will try going into melee
Close-medium ranged – if enemy is in medium range of his attacks character stops and continues fighting from this place
Close-far ranged – if enemy is in range of any attack character stops and continues fighting from this place
Medium ranged – if enemy is in medium range of his attacks character stops and continues fighting from this place until enemy gets in close range after this character will try to run back to the medium range
Far ranged – if enemy is inside the range of any attack character stops until enemy is in close range after this character tries to run back to the place of his furthest attack if he has only close ranged attacks he will just fight in close range

Well i think it is strange to see guy with one or two melee skill go into close combat while having whole arsenal of ranged spells

You could just use the distance options for attack ranges to determine where the class prefers to stand. But otherwise I agree that it is poorly funny to watch missile range attacks fight melee.

I get what you're saying and I do agree. I don't think it necessarily needs to be so complicated though, just a melee, missile and sniper range like the abilities would be fine. They would then always try to remain at that distance for all their skills, so you're sniper range class will only use their melee and missile skills to defend themselves when enemies approach rather than doing the approaching themselves.
