We can confirm that the user Etterteet is not banned. If they are unable to rejoin the server, it may be due to a prior ban on another account, which can prevent Discord from allowing new entries. In that case, we are unfortunately unable to assist further.

That said, I want to be absolutely clear moving forward.

Mr Rabbit and I have issued several moderation actions over the past week. We have already acknowledged internally that some of the language used in those situations could have been more considerate, and we have addressed that. However, every moderation issued was based on clear rule violations.

We understand these users may be your friends, but friendships do not override the rules. If someone outside your circle had behaved the same way, we are confident the same people defending them now would be calling for action.

More importantly, recent behavior ,especially the in-game username targeting a member of our team, is entirely unacceptable. If the roles were reversed and one of your friends were being targeted like this, we would absolutely receive reports demanding action. The same standard applies here.

This kind of behavior crosses into harassment and veers dangerously close to cyberbullying. If it continues, it will lead to Discord moderation actions and as this was taken in-game as well, it may result in in-game moderation actions as well.

It is time to recognize that this behavior is toxic, inappropriate, and not welcome in our community. From this point forward, any continuation of it will be taken seriously and dealt with accordingly.

This isn't about the language that was used, it's about the blatant transgression regarding a correct use of power from your mods, even if it wasn't about Shadows Friend and instead some random I and others would have spoken out and protested, that is because (besides of course basic empathy, like how hard is it to acknowledge that a 16 year old is having an emotional outburst and should be comforted into calming down) we all feel it could have been us. It's scary to talk in this server because every word, wrong or right in context of the "rules", could be seen as a call to action for the mods to ban or time-out you.

I've attached some screenshots of the messages I sent right before getting a time out, even ignoring the reach that is the wonderfully quotable "Calling out moderator action is witch-hunting", would you say this is fair grounds for a time-out in context of the rules? I believe them not to be because I actually made sure to read the rules right before I said anything in this instance, because prior observations had learned me that in such a case any minor transgression would result in me being punished (not that it mattered in the end).

I've also attached messages about what went down in Shadows Friend her thread to cause the drama, a certain moderator unrightfully butted into the conversation and told Shadows Friend and others to stop talking about the things they were talking about, and then when they failed to comply (which they have every right to do since it was NOT against the rules for them to do so) a certain mod implied threatening to suspend anyone and everyone who would speak out against the actions that would later be taken against Shadows Friend.

Your reply here really does not communicate that you understand the essence of why we're so mad

and instead you resort to turning this around on us (I do understand where you are coming from at this part though), but the fact of the matter is that this is the only form of protest we have available to us without escalating the situation even further. You're criticizing the actions YOUR mod team has forced us to take, it was either this or going to other social media to protest and since we do love this game and want it do well we obviously didn't want to do that. It isn't merely toxic behaviour as you believe it is, it is the only form of protest we are allowed to have, a purely anonymous protest disconnected from the reaches of your mod team.

Even after all this you defend your mod team, and I get that it's hard to vindicate the people that you've worked with and are even friends with, but the only thing you're defending is the abuse of power that is rampant in this server, if you really want the problem to go away you and your mod team should properly apologize and right your wrongs. But safety cannot exist if respect only flows in one direction or if those maintaining order are repeatedly attacked. I would also like to add to this by saying it is almost blatant hyprocrisy to try and threaten us with in-game punishment for certain usernames targetting the moderator team. While i can understand that these usernames may evoke uneasiness from the targeted individual and should not be the norm, what you have failed to take action upon are more glaring problems within the game itself.

There have been next to no action taken against the blatantly inappropriate usernames of some individuals, which will most certainly diminish the game's reputation as a majority of the target audience are kids. This even happens within the community stream, as a certain user appeared with an unacceptable username and yet is given no notice from the team. Not to mention the evident problem of people actively afk'ing during matches, causing a negative experience to everyone who encounters them, while still unfairly gaining a massive amount of ranked points and ranking result. Both these problems have been reported regularly within this server, with the afk'ing players even getting a highlights thread dedicated to them, and yet you as the community team have seemingly failed to notify others what measures you will take against them, or if any action will be taken at all. So why is it reasonable that harmless names (which i will reiterate the point made by bobil, is the only form of protest we can take) can be targeted for punishment, but not the problems mentioned above?

We have always communicated that moderation or disciplinary actions are discussed only with the person involved. In this particular case, we made an exception due to the volume of reports and concerns raised, not because we favor one side, but because we wanted to be transparent and helpful to the broader community.

Every Amy Mail that has been submitted has been read by multiple of the team, myself have read every single one, and all are taken serious. If someone raised a concern, their voice was not ignored. While not every outcome may match expectations, we do not disregard or silence feedback. Tickets are only closed when a matter is resolved, no further dialogue is possible, or the discussion is no longer productive.

As for the claim that we act in our own favor, we actually broke our own internal rule this time by publicly discussing moderation context, specifically to provide clarity and open the door for conversation. That is not authority abuse, that is compromise.

If you're referring to in-game issues like AFK reports or gameplay-related concerns, please know those are handled by a separate team from the community side. However, we always make sure that feedback is forwarded to the relevant teams, and I can confirm that this is actively being looked into.

We remain committed to treating everyone with respect. That includes both players and moderators. We are not perfect, but we do care, and we continue to listen.

We have made real efforts to communicate, respond to concerns, and follow up on Amy Mail. A lot of player feedback has already made its way into the game, into this server, and more is coming. These things take time. We ask in return that those efforts are recognized, and not dismissed by assuming the worst of us.

I will not blame you or your team for the improvements of ingame-related issues as you have no control over that but rather your responses are lacking. I understand your team is mainly here to keep a positive link between the game developers and players yet responses are very rarely helpful. While we do not control game development, we were very present during the global release delay. We gathered feedback, hosted a QnA, responded on multiple platforms, and made space for players to express their concerns. We acknowledged the frustration and the impact on the community more than once.

Saying we left it all to the players is not accurate. Choosing not to moderate heavily in those moments was a conscious decision to let people speak, not a sign of absence. We knew the delay would cause frustration, and we did not want to shut that down. People had every right to voice how they felt. What we aimed for was a respectful space, and when that line was crossed, moderation actions were taken.

We understand not every answer can be satisfying, especially when some things are out of our hands. But we have always made an effort to communicate, even during difficult moments. This community is for everyone, and keeping it balanced takes effort from all sides.

Again, I have deep appreciation for the passion behind these messages. I love that we can have open conversations like this. I truly appreciate your time, and I hope you appreciate mine. I do this because I care about you and everyone in this community.

Shadow/IP Ban by Discord (Not visible to server mods)

• If the user has previously evaded bans or triggered Trust & Safety measures, Discord may have applied a shadow restriction.
• This would not show up in your server’s ban list, but they will still be blocked.

Ban on an Alternate Account (Same IP or phone number)

• If the user is trying to join with a new account but has an old account that was banned, Discord can link accounts by IP or device fingerprint.
• The new account gets blocked too, even though it was never directly banned.

Server Ban Cache Issue (Rare but real)

• In some cases, Discord cache lags behind the unban. The account is unbanned, but the system still thinks it’s blocked.
• This can persist for hours or require a server re-invite via a fresh link.
