If it’s cheap, it would actually be a very fun idea to order and have your friends taste it too. After all it’s quite a special delicacy since it’s a Northern European thing only. Many Europeans have never tasted it either. For that reason Finns typically like to offer it for visitors to taste. They're sweet and just a little sour with a small hint of spice (not actually spicy at all just a way to describe it)

It sounds really nice, the sweet and sour flavor probably works very well in candy. I’m more familiar with tamarind paste used in the sauce for Pad Thai for instance though

I actually recommend to take a look at our neighbor Sweden’s alcohol laws, they are even stricter than ours and ours are very strict. you’ll probably get a good laugh out of them. They can only sell beer up to 3,5% in grocery stores for example
