Windows 7 support ended in early 2020, so you’re basically risking a lot using such an outdated operating system and especially when/if it’s connected to the internet. Sadly they removed the ability to upgrade from 7 to 10 over a year ago (meaning the same activation key doesn’t work anymore)… You can still do it, but it requires a brand new Windows key. Also last year Steam stopped supporting their application on Windows 7. But, since Windows 10 will also stop support this October. Buying a new Windows 11 key will not work on a computer that old (seeing it’s still using Windows 7). So I am afraid you’ll need a whole new computer/laptop! 😅
