Besides what Shosaox told, you should also upgrade your emotes and chao’s along the way and if you’re able to obtain new emotes and chao’s, depending on what bonus types they give (what I mean by that is the thing such as Base Score, Ranking Bonus, Victory Bonus, etc.. that you can see in a view score bonuses window in the customize room) it can also help. But note that there’s a 10 room limit to each bonus types, so if one of them is already full, the emote or chao that contribute to the bonus don’t affect. I tried to upgrade one of my emotes that’s not in the list of a certain bonus types and it indeed didn’t add the bonus
I hope that makes sense, kinda tricky to explain this myself

Oh I’m afraid it may not be easy to get S ranks too soon as an early player especially if you’re a free to play player (I still am, and even after playing it for the first time since October 11 for me, I still have 4 S ranks out of 40 stages)
But to help you get closer to achieving them, I think one of the easy things you can do is you should upgrade your emotes and chao’s in the customize room along the way. Also buying new emotes and chao’s help as they add to the score bonuses too
