They literally can't have non-canon stuff in Sonic Rumble, Cosmos isn't even canon and how will Eggman even know about her?

the same reason we might not get Mephiles in this game since he doesn't exist in the timeline

hence, nobody remembers him except Shadow so Eggman won't have a toy of him

again, SEGA is very strict on these things. Having non-canon stuff in Sonic Rumble will not coincide with the Sonic canon

the official Roblox Sonic game "Sonic Speed Sim" is deemed 100% canon by SEGA and it has countless rules of what can be added and what cannot, SEGA's strictness is on the top level in these matters
