Hi,

Currently tuning my tool_stn and tool_stn_unload.

Have the recommended values for the website.

tool_stn: 71
tool_stn_unload: 105.5
variable_retract_length: 21
variable_pushback_length: 22.5

I have got all the way down the tool_stn: 45 before an excess amount of filament is coming out.

That seems like a very big change compared to 71?

I have a pin_tool_end defined, but only one value is on the website for the G2E and Revo.

afc_unload_bowden_length: 1140

Any help would be appreciated.

With tool end defined it calculates tool_STN off that sensor instead of the top one, which is likely what that value is for.

#

Its also possible those values don't take a cutter into account.

I was thinking that, but I was assuming that because the G2E only had one set of numbers, that it was already accounting for that

Those values likely came from the community or are based off cad measurements, as most of us run cw2. I had very little success with G2E and switched back to CW2 with my BT.

Best practice is to tune it in for your setup. The provided values are just to get you started, not a gospel.

I am sure I have seen a picture explaining the different measurments, but for the life of me I cannot find it

So based of the measurements on the CAD model the tool_stn for G2E and Revo is actually 40mm

I have created a pull request on the github
