set timeout on your printer to like 12 hours, turn the bed on to 60c, let it sit in there
Surely that would work
unlikely
friends don't let friends tune wet filament
It's not fun, but ensuring filament is truly dry is the best way to set yourself up for success
Nice to know that 1.8kg spool fits in the BT lane though
Even when the spool is full?
ye
where are filament temps set in afc?
thx
i dried my ASA for SIXTEEN hours and its still snapping like spaghetti
Maybe you need to boil it for 8-10 minutes 😉 JUST KIDDING
maybe its too DRY??
I've had this happen to a roll of PLA where it got too wet, and then it remained brittle even after drying
A new roll would be cheaper
as long as it didnt also happen to my $100 roll of PC-CF
You might take 10’ off and see if it still snaps
yea this filament is just fucked apparently. keeps snapping.
shouldnt have to dry ASA for over 24 hours..
I agree, that's excessive. Were you able to take a few meters off the spool and see if it still snaps there? Sometimes there's stresses built up in the last loops due to how its resting compared to how it was wound when manufactured, and it's hard/impossible to recover the end in that case.
yeah i did that.. it doesnt sanp nearly as easily by hand but still somehow seems to be snapping even when the toolhead is just simply moving around..
yeah, I'd be using a different roll until the BT is dialed in
