#Tuning filament loading and running into a problem

So I am trying to tune filament loading, I calibrated the lanes and the bowden distance, and I calibrated tool_stn and tool_stn_unload but I notice that when I switch from lane 2 to lane 1 there is no filament coming out with the settings that I have, but when I switch from lane 1 to lane 2 I get excess filament coming out. I am thinking that its possible when the lanes are calibrated that it does it in 5mm increments? I only say that because it seems like its always either a 5 or 0 at the end digit and that would explain by one lane leaks filament and the other doesn't. Is this correct and there is no way around it? On a side note, the written instructions for how to calibrate tool stn unload say to retract until the tool head sensor isn't triggered anymore. But isn't that just the same number as tool_stn? I notice that in the suggested settings these numbers are not the same but if tool_stn is the distance from the switch to the filament after it is cut and then pushed back and the tool_stn_unload is the distance from AFC_CUT until the toolhead switch isn't triggered, seems to me like thats the exact same thing
