did you follow the initial startup guide and run AFC_Calibration?

@verbal wolf yes. The filament rapidly goes from the BT extruder to about 20mm above the tool head then moves in about 5mm bursts till the pre extruder sensor is triggered then the extruder spins and picks up the filament. That process is smooth. The issue happens after that. The tool head extruder stops but the BT extruder keeps pushing for maybe two seconds. Since the filament can't go anywhere it squeels and grinds a flat spot into the filament.
