Hey,
I’m having a consistent issue when trying to deploy any Forge server on my Pterodactyl panel.
Paper servers install without any problems, but every Forge server I create gets stuck in the install state.
What happens:
When creating a Forge server, the panel immediately shows:
“Unavailable – This server is currently running its installation process and most actions are unavailable.”
Under Files, it says:
“Running Installer – Your server should be ready soon, please try again in a few minutes.”
But it never progresses.
In the admin view, the server shows:
“This server is in a failed install state and cannot be recovered. Please delete and re-create the server.”
Recreating the server, using different Forge versions, or using different Forge eggs always results in the exact same behavior.
Important:
Paper installs fine, so the panel, docker, and file permissions seem correct.
Forge doesn’t even start the install process , it looks like the install script never runs or fails instantly.
No install logs are generated at all.
The state never clears, the server is permanently stuck in the install phase.
I have no idea how to fix this at this point and need help figuring out what’s going wrong.
