hi, i have been having issues with my server of recent on rust. below is a log, any help would be super appreciated!

#

i have 20gb of ram. only using around 8gb when the server does load..

Can u explain what is actually happening? U say it crashes, but ur logs aren't showing a crash (not sure about the errors shown, as i don't play rust)

#

Does it run out of memory after startup?

i get this on startup ***** [Pterodactyl Daemon]: ---------- Detected server process in a crashed state! ----------
[Pterodactyl Daemon]: Exit code: 0
[Pterodactyl Daemon]: Out of memory: true
[Pterodactyl Daemon]: Checking server disk space usage, this could take a few seconds...
[Pterodactyl Daemon]: Updating process configuration files...
[Pterodactyl Daemon]: Ensuring file permissions are set correctly, this could take a few seconds...
[Pterodactyl Daemon]: Pulling Docker container image, this could take a few minutes to complete...
[Pterodactyl Daemon]: Finished pulling Docker container image

the server loads then restarts itself once up and running

#

ill see if i can get a log for that now

#

it says: [Pterodactyl Daemon]: ---------- Detected server process in a crashed state! ----------
[Pterodactyl Daemon]: Exit code: 0
[Pterodactyl Daemon]: Out of memory: true
[Pterodactyl Daemon]: Server crash was detected but an error occurred while handling it.

#

sometimes exit code: 137 - but im only using 8.gn of the 20gb allocated to me

So the server running the node has access to 20gb, and u allocated 8 to the rust server, how much memory does it consume before the OOM (out of memory) crash occurred?

#

i have 20gb full access. server isnt using all of it.

#

it gets to about 8.5gb then OOM kicks in.. but sometimes it goes higher, its inconsistent though.. can be lower or higher

#

it cut off at like 7.38gb just before

if it's being OOM killed then you're out of memory. If the container hasn't reached its limit and the VPS shows memory still available, then contact your host. The node running your VPS may be out of memory.
