can't connect to server

Hey guys! I've followed the above tutorials to create a modded minecraft server and followed it up until it required me to create a domain. I just used my JVM instance's IPv4 instead of creating a domain because I couldn't find a free domain site that was hosted in America. I got Pterodactyl to work and the server runs completely fine, but I can't connect to it for whatever reason. Using the ping command with my JVM's IPv4 results in 4 "Request timed out[s]."

Don't follow random tutorials, especially when they use unofficial installation methods, and be aware of the below

You are expected to understand how to read documentation to use this Panel. We have spent many hours detailing how to install or upgrade our software. Please, take some time and read rather than copy and pasting and then complaining when things do not work.

If you expect to be able to install this with no understanding of basic linux system administration you should stop and turn around now
