#Wings only report to Panel on Ubuntu Server 22.04

So i have an odd issue. I have tried many ways to get the Wings to report to the Panel as healthy. The ONLY way I have been able to get it to work is on a install of Ubuntu 22.04 Server edition. The other OSes with the exact same steps taken and values inputted, are Ubuntu 22.04 Desktop, Ubuntu 20.04 Desktop, Debian 12.6, and dockers. As far as I can tell, ports are set correctly as servers can be deployed with no issues in each case but I can't get a status out of the wings.

My other issue is that I can't figure out why Ubuntu 22.04 does not get past this OS load screen when loaded up as a VM on my Synology NAS model 1621. Even the iso installer freezes at the same spot on a fresh install. My Windows 10 + Virtual Box has zero issues.

Any help? These issues might be related.

I forgot to mention that I also tried with and without firewalls on the install

other info that might help is that even if i don't get a green heart, the os info of the wing gets pulled into the panel

Wings doesn't "report health status" to the panel.

What you're seeing is your browser being unable to communicate with wings.

Make sure that your wings are running using systemctl status wings and that your Wings ports (by default 8080/2022) are open in your firewall or router. This website can check your ports https://dnschecker.org/port-scanner.php

Browser console errors can also provide additional debugging information. More troubleshooting steps can be found at https://pterodactyl.io/panel/1.0/troubleshooting.html#cannot-connect-to-server-errors

Should the panel and wings be located on the same network, you might experience NAT reflection issues. In that case, type .nat for more information.

even when the browser is on the same localhost? the wings run but the panel doesn't go green

as far as i can tell, there is no port issue
