So as people stated glass meta has been dominant for a while now, so I have an idea based on the PvP in the Spire mod for the counter infinite card plays that I will call: retrigger exhaustion.
It should work like after X triggers of the same card type, the subseqence triggers will reduce card effect by Y%.
I don't think it will be easy to implement, since we do have a lot of possibly to working, but if we can then we can reduce the impact of abusing one type of card play, let people have more flexibility for their build.

This would be pretty difficult to program and not really solve the problem imo

The problem is that you have to have some glass, as if you don't and your opponent does, you just aren't winning

Fall-off would help close the gap between, say, 3 glass vs 5 glass, but the main one that's really hurting the meta is, like, 0/1 glass vs 2/3 glass

I reckon some kind of diminishing return would keep a few other jokers in check (Bloodstone comes to mind), but a lot of those can also be solved by number tweaks over making the calculations significantly harder
