Hey,
I’d like to provide a bit more technical detail about a hotkey issue that affects dual-window mode in Azahar, as discussed in GitHub issues #1716 (Windows) and #1046 (Linux / Steam Deck).
Affected platforms
- Windows 11
- Linux / Steam Deck (Desktop Mode)
Same behavior on both platforms
Description
When Azahar is used in dual-window mode, several hotkeys stop working reliably.
Affected hotkeys
- Increase Speed Limit
- Decrease Speed Limit
- Toggle Per-Application Speed
- Toggle Turbo Mode
Observed behavior
- Speed limit increase/decrease hotkeys do not work at all
- Toggle Per-Application Speed and Toggle Turbo Mode only work if their state is manually changed during the current session
- After closing and reopening Azahar, the hotkeys stop responding again
- The issue only occurs in dual-window mode
- Hotkeys work correctly in single-window mode
Reproduction steps
- Launch Azahar
- Configure hotkeys for speed limit or turbo mode
- Open a game and enable dual-window mode
- Try using the hotkeys
- Close and relaunch Azahar
- Try the hotkeys again → no longer working
Additional notes
- This behavior did not exist in Lime3DS or Citra
- Since it happens on both Windows and Linux, it likely relates to window focus or input handling in dual-window mode
I mainly wanted to check whether this issue is already known internally or being tracked, and I’m happy to provide logs if needed 🙂
Thanks again for all the work on Azahar!
