I've been trying to load up my Persona Q dump (got it from a friend) but everytime I launch the game it tells me that a "fatal error occured". I tried checking the log for details but when I click on the link it just leads me to a chrome page that never finishes loading and it eventually gives me a connection timeout. (I think thats all I have 0 emulation knowledge so do tell me if more info is required)

You need to open the log from the azahar folder, or just click help > open log folder
You should recreate the crash, exit azahar, then send the log, the old log is for a previous session and the regular log is from the most recent session

Probably, it says it failed to read romFS, which is basically where all the game and it's assets are, so something is wrong with this dump, how did you get it?
As in, what steps did you follow?

As stated i got it from a friend whom confirmed to get it legally

I slapped it on azahar and it gave me that

Yeah, well it seems your friend did the dump wrong somewhere, they should tell you what they did to get it
But also, you said it was a .cci file, but I don't see a .cci file loading here, it's more akin to an installed .cia file installed

How did you open the game? does the end of the name read ".trim.cci"?

Ok, I'd suggest adding it to the azahar library, as in open azahar and add the folder that contains the game

Well yeah, I still will ask how your friend did the dump, cause it seems incorrect, did they use a rom dumper or a modded 3DS for example, what GM9 version did they have? did they do the recommended step of using .trim.3ds and then just named it .cci?

Wish I could answer that 💔 i got the dump many months back (never felt like actually playing the game) and i cant reach said person anymore
I don't recall him having a modded 3ds? Wouldn't bet on it tho

Do you have a 3DS? you could mod it and dump the game yourself pretty eassily, it just takes time but it's not hard, especially if the 3DS is already modded

Well if you don't own the game you would be commiting piracy here, as you'd be playing a copy of a game you don't own

If he gives you the cart then yeah, if not, then no, you're creating a copy of the game then giving it to someone else for them to use independently
