#Kid Icarus: Uprising with a controller?

For all my research, the only "option" available is to go to the in-game controls menu, and switch the aiming reticle to buttons. Then, reconfigure the controls of the emulator to have each button mapped to the right stick.

Does that work? Only technically. The main problem being that the aiming reticle follows Pit's movements. You can't, for instance, move left and aim to the right side of the screen.

Besides that, Pit's ground movement is incredibly dodgy. If you move the left stick even slightly, he starts dodge rolling all over the place. Hardly controller-friendly IMO. Basically makes the game unplayable.

If there is a better method of control that I'm missing, I'd love to hear about it!

If you have a dualshock 4 or a dualsense, you can map the touchscreen to their touchpads, same with the steam deck touchpads, you can also use gyro with compatible controllers, other than that I'm not sure what you could do other than maybe look for a mod to get a better experience

No mods from what I could find. But I do have a dualshock 4. I'll see what I can do with that.

I used DS4Windows to set up motion and touchpad support.

They both work. But it still isn't great. If you use motion, you need to tap the screen to register in the game. And then the "touch" goes off the 2nd 3DS screen, and you can't aim. So then you're fighting the controls to remain in the area that can be sensed.

If you only use touch controls, it's hard to keep your hands on the sticks and buttons.

We really need a true twinstick control scheme. Hopefully someone answers the call, someday

What are your settings for KI:U? I'm having a tough time just getting it to run
