why i dont like curent version:

as an idle game having to idle with ur screen turned on overnight just to level the pet is a bit absurd especially since its the only thing in the game that requires it ( if we exclude getting higher rates for not being offline )

sure the pet leveling potions and instant lvl50 are a workaround if you dont want to leave your phone on for over 20 hours to max a pet(once), but I think thats more of a band-aid to this issue that is only available after buying out the more important things.

possible alternative solutions :

  1. pets could cost a % of the experience of the character to gain a set number of pet exp per hour, this could also be adjustable by the player so they can choose to focus on leveling their characters more or the pets ( free pet exp while farming weak mobs? )

  2. pets could have their own campaign you can send them off to where they level up and get pet exclusive items, but you cant have them by your side while they're leveling

  3. make a room with mobs that drop only pet exp items from the shop ( ofc all rare drops) , and the mob's card can give a permanent bonus to pet experience% gained

if other people want to elaborate on those 3 suggestions or provide more alternatives youre more than welcome to do so

That sounds like a whole lot of complicated nonsense imo. Just reduce the exp needed and/or exp gathered for pets effect all pets in your pet tab equally.

ig that would make it slightly less of an issue but def it doesnt fixes it imo, as for complexity id say option 3 is like the laziest solution , not complex at all imo just let us farm some of those pet exp items offline, while option 1 requires some UI changes and option 2 is a whole expansion so yeah i get those possibly being complex

Just give pet exp offline based on your offline gain...
