Act 2 progression arc adjustment

Hi team, I'm loving this game a lot and I've been playing everyday, except not so much recently. I've been playing for a month now and I was stuck on the act1 dragon for a couple of weeks, but managed to eventually pull through.
Act 2 progression arc is way to step IMO:
I'm currently on the watches map with all steel equipment done, and I kill less than 200/h and I'm asked to kill 50k to unlock the next map.
This means that I'll take about 2 weeks to do it with nothing else to do nor to upgrade for the next 2 maps.

This will discourage other players from keeping playing and logging in to check on their hero, because I can just leave the game offline for a few days, see barely any progression and move on to other more hands on game.

My suggestion is to add some upgrades or new gear before the ice gear, something players can farm/grind to upgrade other then waiting ash to form and upgrade it in the fire, that all I've been doing for the last 2-3 weeks

idk why your progress is slow, i've only been playing this game for 1 month but i've already reached trolls (to unlock jotun)

Do you have a pet? If not try getting to bat from the dragon boss. If you have a level 50 pet you should work on your library, I don't think 200 kills is normal

Yes it is true that act 2 is way slower and big bittleneck, pet + ash def 5/5 + hunter 15/30 minimum everywhere seems to be the way to push act2 at 200kill/hr until thorium

I don't mind the grind too much though I understand the act2 struggle I'm stuck at yeti and pretty much just unlocking everything with the ash I'm lvl 70 but just vibing kinda just play the dailies and grind the campfire at 43% flame for a full 25hr grind

Even unlocked some of the new gear from act 2 but I'm still 2 maps away from the metal. From this post untill now I killed 5k mobs, it's just a huge grind IMO 😅
With nothing else to do... I just login, do my missions daily, put wood on fire and logout. I've not nothing to strive

yea, the grind is real

and you can still continue to strive to slay those mobs, save the 8h daily hourglas to get a boost when you reach thorium

the strive is to learn to leave the game on auto pilot and trust the process

games very intentionally a slow burn - I had 20 in a lot of library upgrades, a lot of cards upgraded to max, and about 17/20 on the Physical damage sacrifice at the bonfire before I pushed to get thorium

I figured, I'd need those upgrades eventually anyway, so I could do it while act 2 is still the last current area

You probably want to max pet first, you want to do that anyway at some point and it never takes less time. Idk if you mentioned tower, but push that as far as you can. Farm cards, push library a bit further if you feel like it's doable. I was definitely at more than 200 kph at those mobs when I was fighting them. Perhaps the ATK upgrade in bonfire sacrifice is also something that can help. And using the mage crit chance skill before going offline should also help if that still works.
