#Issue with Reason Rack and Snap Heap

Hi all,

I noticed some unexpected behavior when using Kilohearts Snap Heap as an effect after the Reason Rack Plugin (used as a VST instrument). I would like to know if I'm doing something wrong or that this might be a bug/feature.

My chain is as follows: I use an instance of the Reason Rack Plugin as an instrument and after that I an instance of Kilohearts Snap Heap as an effect. What a like to do is to use an internal modulators in Snap Heap (like an envelope) to control an effect module within Snap Heap. With most instrument plugins, the modulator would be triggered by any note played. However, when using the Reason Rack Plugin, the modulator is not triggered. I tried a several other plugins and I found one other plugin that has the same issue: Native Instrument Kontakt. Most of the plugins I tried work fine though.

Does anybody know if there is fix for this?

Thank you in advance.

That likely means those plugins specifically block midi from passing through, so not a bug (might be a bug in the particular instrument, but they may be designed that way). In bitwig to work around the behaviour move the instrument into an instrument layer (CMD+g) - this will allow the note data to bypass the instrument
