I cannot believe it... *pinches herself in her arm *, got my ticket this morning for the tour in Amsterdam!!!!

Aaaaaahhhhh... first time for me in De Melkweg, going all by myself.... and dependent of public transportation (which I always find nerve wrecking, especially the way back home).

I'm so glad I still have almost a year to come up with a plan on how to handle this with my neurodivergent brain 🧠 (ADHD and Autism oh and an anxiety disorder) and still have almost a year to get to know y'all a bit and maybe meet with some of you so that I don't have to go alone?

But I so can't wait!!!! Gonna have this huuuuuuuuge smile on my face when hearing Nemo sing The Code live, (so much that my face hurts probably) and I think I need some tissues during the night as well haha.

I'm going to and have been to amsterdam quite a few times. If anyone feels anxious about getting to melkweg from centraal there is definetly also at least two tram lines that go to nearby stops that go every 15 minutes iirc!

That means you basically skip most of the chaos and tourists in the city center so figured id just say in case anyone is anxious about that bit 🫶

I really love traveling, but I am unfortunate a little clumsy with some transports.. Also because of my anxiety and ADHD. But this helps me in advance, I'll be travelling from Doetinchem, Gelderland to Amsterdam next year. And maybe I might see you there, if you're taking the same transport as me ^^

I understand, my parents were afraid too when I wanted to travel to the UK to attend at Bludfest (Yungbluds Festival) and also for PinkPop for a while, but eventually they let me go to PinkPop anyway.. I met the most kindest people there, I felt myself very equally and welcomed. And I had to convince my parents beforehand too, but eventually they let me go. We're not freaks, maybe she would think that, because of being protective. But you would be safe with us, like I already said; we're all equally and unique.. We protect and look after you, and so we all will do. May I ask how old you are? Maybe that's the reason why your mom thinking that. But old enough or not, you have to go anyway. You're safe with us and we will always look after you. I'm nearly 23 and I love this server and I feel safe in here and some people like me, and I will be in Amsterdam too. If you need someone to rely on, I would love to give you some guidance, and maybe the others will do the same. It'll be my first time alone to Amsterdam too, so youre not alone ^^

I always get very overstimulated when there's loud music and a lot of people in the same place so I'm also stressed about that but I don't think anyone can help me with that haha

Melkweg is a very nice venue :)) I hope I can answer some of your questions!!

Before the doors open you wait in line outside of the venue with other fans, if you need anything we’d all love to help and be there for you to make you feel safer! When the doors open, everyone gets their tickets scanned one by one and you enter the venue. There will be lockers everywhere that you can reserve using a QR code they have on the walls, there will also be a merch stand with Nemo’s merch. The room Nemo is playing in is the biggest room in the Melkweg called Max, it’s to the left when you enter! Just follow the rest and you’ll be okay!! :) when you’re inside the concertroom you can either stand on the floor or go to the balcony, there are 3 stairs to the balcony you’ll see them when you enter. When everyone’s inside around 19:30 the opener will start which is Sven Cilliers. After Sven is done it’ll be a short wait while they’re preparing Nemo’s set and then Nemo will play at 20:30. If everyone is standing still, dancing or a combination of both really depends on the artist and show!! But I think at Nemo’s concert it will be a mix of both!! Just stand or dance how you’re comfortable!! :) and you can always sing if you want to!! I assume as a show like Nemo’s that everyone will sing💖💖

Something you should ALWAYS have with you at a concert are hearing protection. Concerts can be very very loud especially when you’re closer to the speakers!! If you want to make sure your phone is charged or want to record a lot I also suggest bringing a powerbank with you. Tote bags or small handbags are always allowed inside, bags like big backpacks aren’t. And they’ll ask you to put them in a locker upon entering.

Things NOT allowed inside of the venue are your own food or drinks, if you have a specific type of medication that you need to have on you make sure you have like a recipe/certificate for it to show security :)

Most important is to have fun!! And if you ever need anything you can always ask other fans!! We’re all here for each other!!🫶💖

I think the balcony or stairs, because it’s easier to get to the back of the room from the balcony rather than the floor. I assume Nemo sold enough tickets for them to open the balcony, otherwise there will only be people on the floor

At pop shows (concerts that aren’t classical orchestra) there’s an open door policy, meaning you can leave the room at any time you want!! There are benches outside of the room you can sit on and there’s security around if you need help

It won’t be quiet, but it will be a lot less loud because of the thick walls

Also, if you start to feel unwell or overwhelmed for any reason the doors are open and you can get in again later. Just ask people to pass and they will let you. Just two cents cause ive seen it happen once or twice

So no need to worry about getting locked out.

And if you really need to leave the venue entirely to calm down, let security know

Its also a good idea to talk about a meeting point with whoever youre going with just in case of anything, its a crowded space after all

Aaand if you need to have an early train, try not to leave with the rest of the crowd, pushing and such cause youre in a hurry to catch a train doesnt really work in a crowd in my experience. Just common sense things really 🙂

Yeah if you really need to leave early to get home I’d suggest leaving one song early unfortunately, since when the concert ends everyone tries to get out at once and you really shouldn’t push

I really wanna go to efteling but i dont have a full full day. Does any of you know how reliable the dutch public transport is? I could take the 21:50 train from Eindhoven to Zurich and would have enough time in the park. Do they cancel trains like they do with DB or do you think if i leave by 18:30 (its around a 1.5h travel time) i‘m gonna be ok?
