It is currently kinda inconsistent when you get a recipe whether it ends up in your inventory or you learn it directly.
In addition to that, there seems to be no good reason to ever keep a recipe in your inventory without learning it (as they're not used for anything else other than learning).
So I suggest that all recipes that you haven't learned yet that enter your inventory should automatically be learned.
Also has the benefit of marking them in any shop as "known", as that is not the case if you only have it in your inventory, but not yet learned.
