I'm not sure if you're aware, but there have been some major updates regarding capitalisation that may affect your project
You can read about it here: #dev message
But tl:dr, an element will not be able to craft anything unless someone, anywhere has discovered a title case version of it (e.g. Abb, not ABb or aBB or ABB)
Once Abb is found, all the other versions will work, but if you only find, say, ABB, it will not work

If no one has created the properly capitalized version of an unexploitable (incorrectly capitalized) element then u can't use the incorrectly capitalized version at all.
If someone else has created the properly capitalized version, then it's possible.
