What is the Unicode Project?
The Unicode Project is a project first started by Laurasia, PBPBPB and łam (who no longer plays the game). The goal of the project is to obtain, as items in the game, every unique character in Unicode. Unicode is a standard of character encoding. Essentially, giving a code and sorting every character renderable by computers. Our goal, then, is to get all of them! All letters in every language, all CJK (japanese-chinese characters) characters, all hangul (korean), all emojis, all symbols, everything. -
How do i help?
It's simple in theory, but in practice, as of right now, it will take a minute. The people contributing have a long list of items varying from mildly long to get to.... painful (im looking at you, Unicode Art). I am currently in the process of making a detailed guide on how to reach items very useful for Unicode hunt, as well as giving out tips on how to progress since the moment you have a new Unicode character, to potentially get more from what you found. -
What is a block?
Unicode separates it's various characters in blocks and subblocks. For instance, all egyptian hieroglyphs are in the same block. You can see all the Unicode blocks there : https://www.unicodepedia.com/groups/ -
What is a softlock/an entry point?
What we call a "softlock" is when a character, for some reason (often unknown, with rarely a few guesses as of why), won't give us any other characters. Sometimes, softlocks are temporary and just require other methods / characters to solve, but sometimes, some softlocks are much, much harder, if not impossible to break. One very infamous example includes

As explained above, Unicode works in "blocks", and the game seems to really like progressing within blocks (will be explained in the guide thats WIP). So, the hardest part is to enter a block. Once you have one or two items inside a block, you can often get more pretty easily (if you know what you're doing). We call "entry point" an item that leads us to a new block, or part of a block we couldn't access before. More generally, this term is also sometimes used to talk about a set of unicode characters.

Those are Unicode codes! Every character has a code in the format : U+ and then it's hexadecimal number.
If you want to find what character a code represents, go to this website (https://unicode.codethoi.com/en/index.html) and replace the "0020" part of the URL with the code (without U+) you want to check.
If you want the code of a character, you can go on the same website as stated above, and just paste the character in the search bar (if nothing appears, it's likely two or more characters (or you copied a space by accident))
To note!
Some characters in Unicode act as modifiers, essentially fusing with the previous character to make it look different. Meaning, when you copy the recipe from the console, you will be unable to copy the character in on itself without the space that comes before it. In this case, i recommend copying your entire result from the console and putting it in this website. Paste your text at the top, click "Convert" and go all the way down. This box shows all the code of every character present in the text. Take the code of the character after the last 0020 (space), and view it using the website cited above.

Khmer Unicode is one of the few found in this format so far that appears spontaneously - because of the way the AI works, simply appending (Cyrillic + Hexadecimal =) Unicode to a script name doesn't really work, since it's more likely to return just an emoji, or if you're lucky a character
Khmer Unicode, however, is in adjectival form - if you throw enough languages at it, eventually it will replace the Khmer with whatever you want - Bamum, Hieroglyphs, Cherokee
This is more useful - then you can use elements like 1st, 2nd, A, B and whatnot to return characters
