#Mods Config (Settings) Whitelist

I dont understand, you want a mod whitelist or a mod config whitelist? Got an example?
a whitelist feature for BepInEx F12 Menu which requires users to have the same settings for specific mods to connect to the server. For example: if the server have Dynamic Maps, the user must disable seeing enemy on the maps so that they can connect.
Ah, yeah that sounds good
This could be enforced by allowing for a custom/modded loader to enforce file signature checks.
Since we don't even have access to the source for the loader, the Devs would have to provide the update themselves or allow us to create a modded launcher. This is difficult because a lot of the api is closed source it seems unless i'm missing something.
this has been brought up a couple of times already and the consensus is that since Fika is tailored to be played with friends, we dont really see the need to enforce settings. this request only make sense if you're running a public server which we don't support. if your friend wont follow the rules and continue to change their setting then your friend is an ass.
my recommendation is unbind the F12 configuration manager and send them your configs
or, you can technically enforce configs using modsync but it's up to the client to accept the update.
I do respect the answer, however, I think the need to have a mod settings config is to preserve a equal game play experience regardless of it being a public server or not. And in this case, I am not running a public server because it is not supported and I am well aware. Even with friends, if one could have the power to see all the enemies on the map and other would prefer to not have those information create some interesting situations. One could say "immersion breaking" but it does feels a little OP imo.
Now you could argue that I should remove Dynamic Maps on the server. But most of my friends are people who never got to learn Tarkov in the first place and not having the maps means it might be a little more difficult for them to enjoy the game.
And on the other hands, I cannot enforce config settings and sure, they might be an ass for not following the settings. However, it might be nicer to not create a "hear-say" situation when it can be solved with a whitelist feature in the first place. Sure, I could use a Mod Sync but I have members of my friends group really disliked that option due to securities reasons.
Regardless, I respect the reply and if the feature is rejected then I understand.
