#game hard locking PC on launch

hello, I am running into the infinite mouse cursor issue, although unlike others I see on here we are not using mods with bundles nor are any of the mods incompatible with Fika or 3.8.1 AKI.

He has sent me his plugins, and mods folders. We both can connect via launcher but the cursor actually hard locks me and wont even allow me to click in the task manager after I start my game.
There is no sign anything is wrong in the server log either, it seems to say we both connect and are good to go, no bundle download messages (his cache has no bundles folder at all).
Just as a note, we are both individually able to launch and play the game.

As an update to this, we tried removing all server and client mods and the issue persists.

Is there any kind of potential issue that could stem from not starting tarkov at all before starting spt? I actually installed the base game yesterday and then immediately installed SPT without running the game or anything. I was able to get in with our mod list on my server but when I closed my server, switched IPs and tried to join his it's the eternal "not responding" status on my client.

Like it doesn't hard lock but it does not let me click anything, even the task manager 😂

Gonna do a clean install of everything and I betcha it works

if this problem still persists after a fresh install, it might be a deeper issue like PC specs

Gotcha yeah. I'm a software engineer professionally so I was literally losing my mind trying to to figure this out last night lolol

so just run live once, make sure spt stuff isn't running as well, maybe go into a raid just to make sure, then reinstall spt

and fingers crossed that it just works

it should, especially if no other mods are downloaded

but if it doesn't that definitely warrants for more investigation

you don't need to do that much in terms of getting data from live but with hard locking the pc i'd just make sure lol

Having same issue but seems to be related to the painter trader mod, anyone know why this is happening and/or can direct me to further resources on this problem

I am also having the same issue of it hard locking. Additionally, it’s saying they eft exe is not responding

so i actually didnt have this issue its 2 of my freinds 1 of them we solved by him hostign the serbver somehow got it to work for him but the other it doesnt work

There seems to me atleast from my testing be an issue with client loading data from server with Painter trader(the mod that gives us issues) I'm away from my PC ATM I'll see about getting log data when I'm home

Okay. So make sure he connects to your server. Make sure you have 0.0.0.0 in your http json. (Both fiels)

Just put 0.0.0.0 in both Ip fields.

From what I am getting from this it seems there is a permission error somewhere. In your task manager you don't have any instances of EFT or SPT AKI processes right

something you could try is to download the SPT 3.8.1 repo and copy the files into the directory to see if that fixes the issue
