I downloaded through the "releases" tab and watched an install tutorial and I don't really understand what to do. My file doesn't have a user folder in it like the video

You need to grab both the Client mod and Server mod.
You only need the server mod if you wish to run the backend server for your friends.

Your friends would only need the Client mod.

I see no reason why it shouldn't, I don't personally use Radmin VPN or Hamachi but I have heard others prefer Radmin VPN.
