In what way does the med system not sync up in fika, as in I can’t see how my buddies been hurt or as in having the med system on will cause fika desync. Or is it both?

only mags and once in a 100 raids a cartridge won't sync

Did you disable bot spawning on Realism?
Yes. If you are using a different bot spawning tool disable Reealisms spawning.
If I use FIKA with a headless (one pc to play the game and one pc to run the headless) and I'm the only one playing will hazards and meds work? or does it only become an issue when multiple people play at the same time ?
@north crescent Hazards/Medical don't sync yet if I remember correctly. A FIKA sync plugin will come in time.

Meds are throwing errors with FIKA according to Fontaine but hazards should be fine if you’re alone in my experience. The issue with hazards is that it doesn’t synch across all clients without a patch.
Someone probably already asked this but i couldn't find it soo: When using realism on Coop, all players need to configure Realism's settings for it to take effect or does it work if only the host do it?
You're talking about the configs in the .exe app right? Assuming so then no, only the person/computer that is hosting the server needs to set them.
As a reminder, everything in the server folder only applies to the server. This includes these realism configs, since the .exe is in that folder

Interesting, does anyone have issues with mags/ammo becoming stuck using FIKA? I remember someone said it was an old bug issue with realism. I may have found a solution
So if you're using any mods that clean up corpses at regular intervals, apparently that puts you at a much higher risk of your mags and ammo becoming stuck
Me and my group experience this but we don't use any cleaner mods whatsoever.

I've removed any corpse cleaning mod and it seemed to have alleviated all mag desyncs

Perhaps any mod that forcibly removes an object after a set time for garbage collection may put you at higher risk

It's likely due to network sync code execution timing being thrown off by changing the speed of animations
Though that would have to be confirmed by looking at how BSG handles that because it would be weird if it was the case
If it can help, I also encountered the bug in the past (3.10) without the corpse cleaning mod. It appeared to be worse when the server was under heavier load, but that's anecdotal. I only had it happen when using a dedicated client.
Also, for some reason, I was the only one experiencing this bug... I was the hosting the server and dedicated, playing on another pc on the same network. I don't understand why this would happen, but I had the bug happen a couple of time per raid for me, while my friends never had it... weird
The plugins we used were shared from me to them directly, so there was no mod discrepancy there
Maybe you had different configs? You can change reload speed via multipliers
I had it happen on 3.8 and 3.9 too, but it only happened to my friend, no headless, I was the host PC. Identical configs and mods.
Now that I use headless and I'm a client it happens to me too

Is there some specific way to install Realism with the Headless Server, or does Realism not work for Headless? I installed Sain, Acid's Bot Placement, Waypoints, Big Brain and Realism on the Headless server and it seems that it desyncs pretty bad and randomly. Turned off Spawn settings in Realism to not conflict with Acid's Mod as well. Without Realism it runs perfectly.
Unless I'm mistaken, im pretty sure we are waiting on a Fika Compat patch to get all the desyncs fixed. Or maybe that's just med changes 🤔

I'm assuming they are talking about reloads bugging a mag slot, forcing 1 round to be loaded at a time in the mag or preventing anything from being put into that bugged mag slot. I've seen it since 3.9 and beyond iirc
If disabling the variable reload speed doesn't work then I'm unsure how realism is affecting this. Maybe manual chambering
Check out this issue on the sync plugin if you haven't already, it pretty much supports your theory. I'm not the one who reported it, but I was in contact with @lone talon trying to figure this out

Yeah I will give this a try tonight, but to give a better explanation of the desyncs. What happens is, the beginning of the round will start ok but eventually, and randomly, things will start to desync and slow down. Looting will increasingly become slower where items blink in their slot and take 5+ seconds to transfer. You will shoot a bot and they will take no damage and just stare at you and eventually the bullets will hit you 10 - 20 seconds later. Both me and my friend will also desync between each other, he will see me die but I will be alive on my screen or I will be in a completely different position on the map on his side. So Player Position Desyncs, Item Looting gets very slow, and bots desync.
Interesting, I’m not experiencing any of that with realism and Fika headless. It might be network related honestly
I was thinking that, I am not sure if Realism adds to the Demand of the network.
But if it does, it possibly could be just my network on the Headless server not having strong enough or stable enough internet.

Have you double checked your firewall settings?
I am not sure it would be a firewall issue, everything works without realism installed.
But, the firewall is configured for the server regardless to fix port forwarding issues.
The Headless Server I have is on Fiber Internet and a very strong gaming PC. The only issue I could possibly could think of, the headless server is running on Wifi but at full bars, maybe Realism does make the network more demanding and Wifi isn't stable enough for it.

In my experience disabling it only prolongs the effect, either way it bugs out eventually. I thought it was a UIfixes issue but I have reaload in-place disabled
I'm using headless so the server side settings are disabled. Do the clients have to set up settings in the realism app as well?
100% if I turn the server on without realism no such issues appear.
But then again this game (at least for me) is unplayable without realism so I prefer dealing with this annoying crap.

I find that increasing the bot amount on raids makes desync worse it seems.
That would be to do with server performance rather than the mod itself I would imagine

Besides the fact they aren't just synced at all, nothing that I can think of. If we're talking about it in general, works just fine in singleplayer last time I've checked it.

If we're speculating, any other custom spawn logic besides Realism will break that rule since they must be synced in some way to prevent that from happening.

Update on my Desync issues just in case anyone else had Desync Issues with the Headless Server. Turning off Medical Changes fixed all the desync I had.
can you describe your desync ? I can attempt to add Med sync into Realism sync
if you try to run with med changes you'll see constant errors in the logs etc

Yeah but the part I was confused about was that it wasn't working on the Headless server but was working when locally hosted with Med Changes on. I searched the Discord and couldn't confirm it was a headless issue, people were just saying it wasn't working.
There is also some magazine desync that happens and bullets can't be loaded in mags. The same thing also causes rig slots to desync and render unusable as well sometimes. Allegedly its caused by the reload speed changes, manual chambering and malfunction changes.
Is there a way to have realism and acid's spawning mod work together without disabling bot changes in realism?

The GUIs for all acid’s mods are 11/10. Truly incredible work in general. The progression mod is pretty great too, almost as good as realism but I prefer realism’s bot kits a bit.
For sure. His gui and sain gui are great. I prefer realism as well in terms of kits, its one of the few cant play without mods for me. HollywoodFX mod is wonderful too.
MOAR is really good, lot's of configuration options. The only reason I use ABPS now is because even with Starting PMC's on with MOAR, they never really started at the beginning of the match, it always took like 5 - 10 seconds before any spawned. So I switched to ABPS and they started spawning immediately as I spawned. ABPS also has a better GUI for configuring, so easy to use and understand.

So disabling all the chambering/reload features helped a lot but as time progresses, it does come back. But yeah I’m in the same boat as you. Hoping the Realism Sync mod will fix it soon

I talked with Jehree about this like a year ago. He seemed to think it would be pretty dirt simple to put triggers at top and bottom of ladders and just teleport up and down.

Also, not using fika for this particular issue.
I just disable most changes relating to bots when using ABPS APBS sain and so on, no need for realism to do anything at that point

Well the apbs progression has a check box for gas masks to populate, and the filters work when I wear them, just not sure if bots are supposed to generate filters , or just that they might.

From what I see in the plugin Kobe's thread the only issue you've raised was the stance not replicating perfectly between players, which I personally haven't noticed. This is very far from being completely broken and honestly that kind of exaggeration feels disrespectful toward the author who's worked on it...

There wasn't anything to go off in your report. You didn't provide detail and did not take the time to isolate the issue to just the plugin and realism. And even if you did, this has nothing to do with the way you were portraying the plugin before editing your message... He isn't beholden to you
Is there an example somewhere where I can see how to change bullet stats with a template.json? I'm trying to figure out what each json label should be for the different stats and where I should even put this to make sure it gets read in properly

Have you encountered broken trader screens after a raid? For some reason, my friend and i on our fika server have broken traders after one raid with med changes enabled.
If med changes are not enabled, there is no issue
Are you talking about the trader profile becoming white with weird names and non-interactable? If so then yes, both me and my friend encountered it, but I'm using some custom traders, so I was assuming the issue was more related to them...
Either way it hasn't happened that many time to me or my friend and a game restart fixes it, so I haven't looked into it much. I can't speak on what the cause of it is honestly

It’s not realism. I have experienced it 0 times without the plugin over a 500 hr playthrough. There is only one other mod that caused this for me which was couturier and I haven’t used it in months.
If I install the plugin I have traders crashing once per session without fail. I can provide video proof of it but unfortunately everyone keeps telling me I’m a liar for trying to help with issues.
Kobe's realism plugin caused other issues for me too, I just play without it
I've only had the trader issues during one session so far on my side. And what's the deal about people calling you a liar? Haven't seen anyone say that... Unless you're refering to my first response when you said the plugin was completely broken? Even then I never said you lied, just that your statement seemed overblown to me, since I hadn't experienced much issues myself...
If it's broken for most then so be it. I just don't want people who might be thinking about using the plugin to skip it thinking it's completely broken when in reality their experience might be closer to mine, which is only minor issues
On the other hand I’ve been using the same plugins with my friends up until this week when we moved to 4.0
no broken traders whatsoever. I didn’t enable med change, and by extension Hazard though
Your experience is your own, not the experience of everyone else. It's neither here nor there any more regardless, I don't see any reason why 3.11 mods would be updated or debugged since 4.0 is out.

Not sure if you remember, but @tiny ermine and I reported this issue in your thread while testing your fika plugin. I can attest to the fact that having med changes enabled will cause traders UI to bug out

Med changes affect the charges of healing items, if they are not synced up there will be situations where on your end you still have charges/ran out of charge and other players/server think otherwise. Which in turn causing inventory desync.

Which is fascinating because King shottie and i noticed that manual chambering was causing certain mags to bug out in rigs and be unable to be loaded in raid. Even with med and hazards turned off.

People tried troubleshooting this and said it still was happening after disabling it. This is why I'm weary to support Fika at all, when you have a server and multiple people involved it can be easy for users to get mixed up
For sure. Were going to make another server with just realism and its related syncs to do some more indepth testing
I've tried testing this extensively and got nowhere, there seems to be no real correlation
Unfortunately I can't assume the server was restarted after changing the config consistently and such
This might be apocryphal but I disabled the reload speed changes and no one on my server has had mags desync so far. Only thing we get desync with regularly is some of the optional stuff in visceral combat.
Which we ended up doing and I think, I haven't heard from others besides Obi, fixed it

that's the problem with troubleshooting mods with Fika involved from a dev perspective, it's like playing chinse whispers and not only are you dealing with a user who can often make mistakes or give bad reports, you're dealing with multiple users

I have resorted to arcane rituals to mitigate mag desync. Going good so far.

Hypothetically if I we're to record some breathing sounds or whatever, would you want coughing audio for hazard zones instead of using the injured thorax sound?

What is up with some raids having creepy ambient, fog and passive toxicity gain? Its per person, teamates dont have it in the same raid

If you look at the server side code you can disable/edit the chances. Just don't ask for help or report issues if you do so, since you'll be editing the mod in an unsupported manner
By default it's very, very rare. If you're doing the hazard quest line then read the descriptions; it'll get more and more frequent till you finish the questline

Are you sure you're not getting new and old gas mixed up? New gas is the one where Reshala can spawn. Old gas is the one that can have an extract

The train crash is near new gas. At least thats the place with train cars laying around…
