Hello!
I am a new user and looking forward to trying out secureblue.

After my first install I noticed that Sway WM doesn't support proprietary Nvidia drivers.
which confused me since on the install page there is an image with proprietary drivers and sway. For my GPU the proprietary drivers are recommended. Can I expect comparability issues if I go for said image?

the sericea-nvidia-hardened image should be what you want, yeah

#

where does it say that Sway doesn't support proprietary Nvidia drivers?

Hi thanks for the quick reply.
https://github.com/swaywm/sway/wiki

There it says : "Sway works best with open-source graphics drivers. The Nvidia proprietary driver isn't officially supported here"

oh I'd just take that to mean that the maintainers of Sway haven't tested whether the Nvidia proprietary drivers work with Sway and/or won't accept support requests or bugs related to how Sway works with those drivers

#

but with secureblue's Nvidia images, the drivers are installed using a script in secureblue's build process

Oh, yes. One could read it that way too 😅
I'll try it out and report back.

if it does have compatibility issues, please do report it here or on the secureblue github repo
