#Not even the Mayor knows how to file taxes?

Anyone can be audited... why does nobody in the Town of Salem 2 world know how to file their taxes properly??

Even roles like vigilante don't seem to file their taxes properly, they just avoid taxes by not having a bullet to audit half the time??

Someone please explain why...

because the auditor is actually an undercover agent from the US

and the entire town of salem (get it) is actually a criminal enterprise
