it CANNOT be this hard to just make a "legacy backgrounds" setting for map making. bring back the OG backgrounds, please. you can render ground outside the map. just put a couple PNGs on it and people will be satisfied.

you guys don't even need to add back the OG (terrible) lighting, all the people want are background flats

i've seen some people just paint all the background tiles dill colored and it kinda works
