For a hard mode you could increase the beacons power and attract bugs that aren't quite from this world. They are far hardier than the other bugs; they almost all have the ability to fly. the ones that don't are hyper aggressive and fast to take territory (like some GoG players). They can also break down wooden doors with mystical abilities. The beacons called out and the Sygnus answered

They should add more variety or just skins for them idk
