While buttjos were 1000 damage, they were the best weapon, but ONLY if you were good. It was a super fun meta: Shield and buttjos. It was a good dynamic, to have to block highly damaging opponent hits while trying to get in with your own. It made for high risk, high reward, super tense and fast-paced combat
They also worked well as a defence against other weapons, being able to do high knockback meant you could knock other players away if they were running at you with melee weapons
But 750 banjos are no longer worth the risk. If someone has a shield, trying to hit them with a banjo is completely pointless. It only does 250 damage more than it costs, so chances are you are just going to waste more cotton than your opponent and get easily punished
And now the meta is... Spamming. More specifically, freeze glove spamming. They have absurd DPS and do far too much damage. They also have very very little counterplay due to freeze effect being unblockable
I propose that buttjos are reverted to 1k damage, to bring back that old meta. It made battles so much better and I was looking forward to some kind of competitive play. Arena just isn't the same anymore.
(The reason they were reduced to 750 was because if anyone without a shield was lower than 2000 cotton, they were pretty much dead, but I would argue that this is pretty invalid, since freeze gloves do more than that in a single combo. They are just less accessible due to the price)
