At around 12:00 in-game time (when the sun is at its highest), the entire screen goes black for approximately 5 minutes. GPU: GTX 980, running at 80 FPS on High settings with no other issues. Video attached. Waiting for a patch, thank you.

If you’re seeing a black screen or shader-related visuals, try these steps:

  • Update your GPU drivers and Windows.
  • Force the game to use your dedicated GPU:
    • Windows: Settings > System > Display > Graphics > add the game’s .exe > Options > High performance.
    • Or set High-performance GPU in NVIDIA Control Panel / AMD Software.
  • Verify game files in Steam.
  • Disable overlays/background apps (Razer Synapse, Nvidia App, Discord overlay, MSI Afterburner).
  • Run the launcher as Administrator and start the game from it.
  • If on Linux/Steam Deck, install the Proton BattlEye Runtime from your Steam library.
  • If it won’t launch or crashes on startup, reinstall BattlEye by running Install_BattlEye.bat from the game folder.
