#Vestibles

The game doesn't tell this clearly, but the vestibles have one side of them marked by metals attachements on the angles
if you get that side connected to a tile that can support something else on top of it, it works. Rotate it with space untill it attachs
also sometimes the thing can be red but when you take a good read on the list of errors on the bottom right, the problem can be accessibilty, not stability, in which case the piece is supported but pathfinding can't find a way to the other compartements
also, as long as they are connected, you can attach them to any lvl, not necessarily the first
I did some blueprints on the server slam with Tramplers that were very hard to board.
I made it so the access led to the second level, and the first level had no exterior access beside vertical point of entrances from the second level. That way, your trampler can't be boarded unless the boarder comes from the rooftop, the place where all the gunners, and so most of the crew members, are
This came from experience of play.
In game, with a crew of several ppl, everyone except the driver is shooting guns. So they are all on the rooftop.
So instead of making the access at lvl 1 in the back, where nobody is looking, you can make the acces at lvl 2 on the side or front, where everyone is gonna see him coming
you can also place a gun 1 lvl above the rest of the trampler, on the back. That way you have a spotting spot with a gun. Then the access can come from just below that guy. Making is so anyone entering the trampler will automaticaly enter your sentinel field of view
Just get creative, and you do lots of things. Many things the devs would never do for balance reasons if ships were fixed and not made by players
For exemple, this is what I came up with during the slam
The access is in the back right below the spotter. so the guy will be seen.
The access has a door leading to the ship, meaning the guy will need to place a TNT to blow said door up.
However, on the opposite side of the trampler, there is an armored balcony that allows for an angle on the boarder, in the vestible, where i left the right side of the vestible open for the purpose of shooting boarders while they wait for the door to blow
Also, while the access is on the back, you don't have a ladder leading to lvl 1 right in front of the entrance. You have to walk to the other side of the ship, at the front, to access lvl 1.
Needless to say, with a crew alive, that boarder is never reaching the storages and the captain's cabin
Also, don't panic about the yellow accessibility alarm.
The game checks for the vital parts (reactors, helm, captain cabin and vestible) to be connected, but everthing else can be unconnected if you want. Even if no ladder allow acces to the spotting spot, in reality you can just climb from the front of the gun
