Good time of day. I have such a problem in bravlahalla no more than 30 fps. I read about it that the computer thinks that the game is open in the background and gives it a low priority, I set a high priority in the task manager. But it didn't help. Who knows how to fix that the game has no more than 30 fps?
I also set different startup parameters on Steam. It didn't fix anything either

It does tend to depend on how bad/vulgar the name is, some people find it gets changed after 24 hours but others have had to wait a week, if it hasn't automatically changed back after an entire month and the current name you have now doesn't include any bad words or anything that could be interpreted as bad then I doubt its gonna randomly change back

It could be the case that the name you changed to also as something thats filtered somewhere in there, I remember someone had a certain 3 letter abbreviation in their name which wasn't bad in the name itself but was getting filtered because of it being part of the name

I'm not really sure there is anything you can do, the support email is the place for things like that, but even if it has been seen they might just stand by the decision of permanently setting your name to Brawler . Generally the only other reliable way to get in contact with bmg is via Diffensive (the community manager) but imo it isn't really something that should go to him (he's Community manager not a support outlet), but i guess you could try sending him a discord DM since you're really desperate

As for the clan thing I guess thats just a side affect of having your name be censored, it makes sense as "Brawler"s could bypass the censoring with clannames otherwise

if you're not worried about rank, queuing random is perfectly fine, see if anything clicks in-game - and see if there's any legends you can definitely cross off
you don't need a main you stick with, I know some folks that switch "mains" every other week - don't feel pressured to stick with a single legend

if you dodge for example up and then instantly try to punish their missed read you're probably just gonna get hit by a 3 piece

its much better to just reset, wakeups can be fine occasionally but if you're doing it after dodging against greatsword its not a good idea

if you do wanna throw them off guard then wake up (without dodging) with a fast light attack when they go for a read like if they're dash cancelling you could nlight

and that way if the nlight does miss or they continue the combo you still have your dodge to use

that way if you go into a gs player whos gameplan is to read after they hit the first opener (e.g slight > dash > nlight opener read) they'll be punished for going for that and you mess up their gameplan

Only case where its moderately safe to go for a wake up after dodging out of a gs string like you suggested is if you have a really good idea that they're gonna continue the combo on and you do a dodge that lets you punish that continuation right away, but even then its still risky if you're wrong

Gs will destroy you for that kinda impatience its just better to reset and play neutral properly against the weapon

Use wake-up (as in, not-dodging but attacking out of hitstun) sparingly but you can use it and it's much better than dodging and then going straight back in to punish a hit while your dodge is off cooldown

Hello, was wondering if someone could break down battle boots? For some reason I really can't figure out the flow/strengths of this weapon. Whereas spear is definitely space control, sword has great kill potential, katars has great damage stacking, etc. But for battle boots the combos and strings feel kinda unorthodox..like I don't really get the active input either. scythe's active input is used to change the direction of the opponent. for battle boots I'm not finding huge use... dlight sair vs dlight (aa)) nlight. any help is appreciated!

Not necessarily. Dash Jumping offers you the Benefit to cancel ur Momentum in any direction anytime by using ur Dodge.

Dash Dancing locks you on the Ground for like 0,2 secs, which offers ur Opponent a Window to react or Read your Movement.

Dash Jumping is really bad against people that expect a Dash Jump and hit SAir faster than u can Dodge out of the Way

But for some serious Movement advise, dont Dash or Dash Jump just for the Sake of doing it, do it for a Purpose

the main thing to look for are habits, if you have a regular dodging pattern or a regular way of recovering back to stage for instance. its also good to look out for what the opponent was doing and where you werent picking up on the habits they might have had. also find what was making you lose interactions like bad spacing or inconsistent follow ups with attacks

^^ the thing with sword is its very versatile off of dlight with the options dlight > rec for middle of the stage, dlight > sair for edges and dlight dair rec if they have no dodge it makes a skilled player able to kill pretty efficiently off of it, generally sword is considered a reliable and solid weapon for killing

its less so your fault for being bad or the game's fault for being bad, its moreso your attitude towards the game. you put too much pressure on yourself to win/reach a particular elo goal that you lose sight of what it takes to reach that. u need to focus on individual interactions within the match; rather than focus on winning the game you should focus on winning individual stocks, or even winning by getting damage on your opponent without them damaging you back. replay reviews are a great way to analyse your matches and see what exactly you can work on

ah, but most characters have their own playstyle because of unique weapon combinations, so how are legends like uhhh

munin or mordex meant to be played, since bow + scythe and scythe + gauntlets

like their strengths and weaknesses

thats not really the point, scythe is unique due to its inconsistency in true combos, therefore youre open to way more combos and variable playstyles, mashups and followups . Main advice would be to start your combo/string with some simple moves and wait out their dodge and go from there, learn some strings and follow ups and later on as you play youll get a feel for the weapon where youll be able to fully improvise and just have fun with it. once youre able to do that then the fun begins. So in conclusion ''rushdown'' isnt exactly the main focus of the weapon, you cant just steamroll someone out of the game every single time because everyone reacts differently to your attacks or their movement is just different so you gotta come up with a different approach and get good at reading your opponent. It's one of the hardest weapons to master but it also pays off the most when you get good at it, if you like the feel like youre being bad at it and cant win games, take your time. its a rather difficult weapon to cope with and takes a lot of time and has a big learning curve to it.

strength imo is best, not being able to kill feels really bad and battleboots is great with higher damage, 2 def really sucks and not worth (imo) for 10 speed but really its just preference, not that long ago a pro got 4th in an official tournament on 2 defence thatch so its not to say its unviable or anything, just that the difference between 9-10 speed is a lot less significant than 2-3 attack (or even 2-4 if you play strength stance)

The other viable option is defence stance but I really don't rate losing attack, not being able to kill on 3 attack is already bad enough, 2 feels bad af (coming from a lin fei main who always plays attack stance since 4 attack is MUCH better than 2 or 3)

Glory works in 2 ways, theres your peak elo which is basically whatever ELO you hit that was the highest whether thats 1v1 or 2v2 and then theres total wins which is your 1v1 wins + your 2v2 wins, those two together equal your glory, on the site above you can input those into a calculator and find out your end of season glory

Theres also cosmetic rewards for hitting different rank milestones which can be achieved in 1v1 or 2v2, no need for both (10 wins, gold, platinum, diamond, valhallan)

All rewards but the valhallan cosmetics come at the end of the season (April 12th)

It doesn't matter which you play since your wins count for the same amount of glory for 1v1 and 2v2

And peak elo is only for the highest out of 1v1 OR 2v2 so that doesn't matter

If you wanna get some extra glory the seasonal ranked gamemode (i think its 3v3 kung foot right now) gives you glory mid-season based on hitting win milestones and rank milestones which you can view when you hover over the mode in mode select from the main menu

That mode doesn't contribute to your end of season glory but it can give you a fairly decent amount for a little work and its a nice bonus if you enjoy the mode

How do I deal with an opponent who spams Lance side air?

If they're constantly doing aerial ones then just dont jump into it but it is one of lance better approach options and generally just always be aware of it and the range of it in neutral, against lance you can force them to approach and generally have the upper hand because a lot of their approaches (like sair) are reactable and pretty simple to space when you expect it, if you can move inside of the lance player you can also play around moves like that very easily and put a lot of pressure on them but it does require good movement to play that close to them and not get hit (aka dont fall into the trap of just running at them)

If they're spamming it then you can be prepared and just expect it and punish, put yourself in favourable positions

When you're more damaged you might find jumping less will help a lot as lances grounding killing game is very weak, all they really have is nlight (kills super late) and grounded sairs (requires movement beforehand and is reactable + obvious)

I keep getting the message "Fatal Error detected and logged, sorry!" just randomly while playing the game. It's not when I try to open the game, it doesnt happen at the end of the match, it happens totally randomly and I have no idea why.
