but you can actually see the stratas a bove the ground it has to mean that that piece of ground moved upwards sometime

bluffs are usually formed from changing sea levels, so most of their composition is sandy material

unless its a volcanic place like hawaii of course, or a recent landslide

volcanic rocks have lots of pyroxene in them which would make them dark grey

so oceanic volcanic rocks are easily identifiable
