Tracing can be an excellent way to learn.. well tracing the right way of course.
Tracing just to learn anatomy and stuff is good practice. Don't be ashamed to use reference either (always give proper credit after you post online of course, then you'll get a ton of backlash. It's just how the internet be sometimes.)

the way i try to improve with most stuff is i look like, whats falling short compared to others in a realistic way of looking at it

i suggest to keep drawing it over and over, but don't stick to it the same way

try to look at it from different angles

what can you do different

textures, coloring, linework etc
