Character references break on steam deck.

If I open a character reference and don't select a card by tapping on the screen first, then moving the left thumbstick causes every card image to be replaced by a black box until I leave that reference.

Can you show a screenshot of what that looks like?

used midori just on muscle memory since that's what i was looking at when it first happened, but i've been able to make it happen on any reference

Hypothesis: This happens specifically when you open the character reference screen while the related character has not yet appeared on screen. And if you leave the game the time to load and show the character, then that bug doesn't happen.
